Why would NY – Wallstreet’s capital – and the largest metropolitan area in the US get it later than Hawaii, Texas, or North Carolina? Does that make sense?

Actually, Honolulu & Maui have had the pre-standard version of Clearwire’s WiMAX for three years now. For Honolulu, it’s not so much a “launch” as it is an upgrade.
