HP Mini 2140 Hi-res Screen Available: $25
The HP Mini 2140 is a great netbook and it just got better with the availability of the high-resolution screen option. For only $25 you can get the 10.1-inch screen in the super resolution of 1366 x 768, making it one of the best screens out there.
You can configure the 2140 when you order the netbook online at HP. It’s showing “coming soon” right now but I’m told you will be able to select this option Real Soon Now. Check out our video of the HP Mini 2140 in action (with regular screen):

Nice screen, but I’d rather wait for the Pineview refresh with a more powerful Atom and Win 7.
This is the first N270 based netbook with such a resolution. Hopefully it starts a trend.
Didn’t show “coming soon” for me when I congigured this earlier today. Estimated ship date 4/22.
Now we just need some investigative blogger to figure out how to configure MacOS X on this beauty.
You can actually order it pre-configured online for $479; it will ship on 4/14/09 instead of 4/22/09 and you save $150. I just ordered one.

I work for HP.
We have two preconfigured higher rez models that we just released.
Looks like just as with the 2133, they don’t offer the 3 cell battery as an add-on option. I already have a 2133 with a 6-cell battery and would have preferred to get the 2140 with the smaller battery, since they are compatible.
hp4me – any idea when these will be available in the UK?
Can the hp mini 2140 use 1024 by 768 resolution programs because of its 1024 by 576
This may sound odd, but on the hi res screen, any idea what other settings I could use? You see, I like the HD screen for some things but for general viewing I need to lower the res for my eyes. Will it also do something like 1024X600?
