I almost forgot that my favorite golf tournament of the year, The Masters, is currently in progress. I typically watch every possible second of coverage I can. There’s something about Augusta, Ga., in the springtime — the slick but beautiful greens, the throngs of vocal crowds on the 16th hole, and of course, the gorgeous flowers in bloom.

In between some errand-running today, I’m watching live coverage streamed at the official Masters site. But that does me no good when I run out from the home office later today, so I’ll be using one of these two options on my iPhone:

Both free apps offer more than just video coverage: you can find leaderboards, statistics and golf course info as well. And just for the record: I don’t simply watch golf, I play, too. In fact, I’m confident that I could easily shoot a 62 at Augusta. Of course, that would only be the first seven or eight holes, so I’d quit while I was ahead.
