45-Minute Video of the Palm Pre: No Touchstone Left Unturned

Our friend tnkgrl went to CTIA and spent a fair amount of time with the Palm folks looking at the Palm Pre. We know she spent at least 45 minutes with them as she’s posted a 45-minute video of the demonstration Palm gave her of the Pre.

This is easily the most detailed look at the Pre I’ve seen yet, and the Palm guy was good to answer all of the many questions that tnkgrl posted to him. The Touchstone charger was being used in the video; the wireless charger that we showed you back in January. The Pre is looking like it’s ready for launch, if you doubt that, take a look at tnkgrl’s video.

  • It’s doesn’t strike you as odd that they still won’t let anyone touch one? What are they afraid of?

  • I believe they are just insistent on controlling the pre-launch demos.

  • I’m glad the Pre looks promising. Certainly the concept is. I still doubt Palm’s ability to pull this off. Not the least reason is that they have been unable to solve sync problems with Palm Desktop 6.2. Palm devices have been syncing since before the turn of the century and now they don’t. How can this be anything but a bad sign as they try to create a whole new platform? Palm has squandered so much and now they are driving their most loyal, long-time customers away. They should sell the Pre and all intellectual property to a competent and well-financed third party. Like Dell, Cisco, Nokia. Or maybe even Motorola.

  • Oddly, I’ve missed all the bad Palm experiences, as well as the bad Sprint experiences. That is my next phone.

Some non-Palm guy had one on Craig Ferguson.

Have I mentioned that that is my next phone?
