We’ve been all over the Skyfire browser forever; at least it seems that way. The server-based browser brings a full desktop browsing experience to mobile phones that includes the ability to stream almost any kind of video. BGR is reporting that an alpha test is underway for the BlackBerry platform, something that should make Crackberries all warm and tingly. They’ve posted a bunch of screenshots of Skyfire in action on the BlackBerry for those who just can’t wait.

  • I haven’t used this for BB. So, my opinion comes from the Windows Mobile perspective.

Skyfire is a nice browser, but saying it’s the best is taking it a little too far. It has the best features, but it’s layout isn’t the greatest, and it’s also pretty slow, when compared to Opera Mini.

So, I guess if you take features over speed, it’s the best. If you desire speed, I still think Opera Mini is the way to go.
