Is there a reason many Blackberry apps aren’t making into or being released via the new App World?

I have mixed feelings about the usability of App World (I’m comparing to the App store on my iPhone) but it seems that the more apps that are distributed there, and the easier they are to find, would be a win-win for the developers and the platform in general. This is the type of app that I would be likley to just run across and try on my iPhone – on my Blackberry, I woudnt have even known about it if you hadn’t posted about it.
