Unboxing an $8,000 Phone- Vertu Ascent
I don’t know what’s more unbelievable, that someone would actually buy an $8,000 cell phone or that they would send one to Judie at Gear Diary to unbox. Either way she has posted something you will never see, a full unboxing review of the Vertu Ascent. The Vertu really is an $8,000 phone, although for the life of me I can’t see what makes it worth that much.

It isn’t even attractive! For 8 Grand does it at least go to work for you? Even in a strong economy this Phone would be an anomoly – now, it’s just plain dumb!!
James, did you not see that it can hold up a car? True, a fifty dollar jack can, too. But can an iPhone hold up a car? Can a Blackberry? When my Pre comes, I probably not try driving my car over it.
bluespapa, how many iPhones can you buy for $8k? I say go ahead and drive over them all you want.
I admit that does sound like fun.
