I've been using SugarSync on my iPhone. 2GB is plenty enough room for my iPhone backup needs! :)

Thanks James for posting this info and spreading the word about online storage. Have you ever given Office Live Workspace from Microsoft a try? All you need to do is create a LiveID or use the one you have and you get 5GB of online storage for free. Works on Macs and PCs too!

Cheers,
Jeff

Sugar and Live mesh have update issues when updating files that already exist on the server. There are a couple of good ones out there including http://adrive and http://www.myotherdrive.com

I'm still not clear why anyone rates Sugar when Live Mesh gives you 8gb for free? Is this a Mac thing?

I tried SugarSync last year, the paid version for 10GB. It didn't work well. Once I did the first upload of about 8GB, after that it never would complete an update. I'm on a fast connection, but it would try for days to do a sync when there were only 10-15 changed file.

All my e-mails to support provided canned responses, and nothing worked.

I gave up.

SugarSync just rolled out new desktop software to integrate with Windows Explorer and simplify the syncing process. I use the software daily to keep two desktops, a Macbook, and a netbook in sync and could not be happier with the software.
