Another Notebook Battery Recall- HP

HP has recalled 70,000 notebook PC batteries due to concerns about overheating and subsequent hazards. Notebooks with the affected batteries were sold between August 2007 through March 2008 and are listed by HP:

Only minor incidents due to overheating have been reported, but the company is not taking any chances. Contact HP directly if you have one of the listed notebooks for instructions on what actions should be taken.

  • HP hasn’t had much luck with their dv6000 and dv9000 notebooks apparently. First the nVidia fiasco with the faulty GPU soldering and now this battery recall.

    I should be really happy my space-heater zd7000 is still working and has helped me through all these years, but man, if I could just put a GTX 280M inside and a qx9300…
