There should be a way to boot into the recovery utility and restore it to the factory condition pre-updates.

It has nothing. I just received this brick from dynamism. It is the most loaded one. Paid 1600 plus for it with all the accesories. No gps program no windows 7 update. And the worst. I am no computer expert and I don't want to spend hours configuring my computers or reading posts on how to fix problems, So I got it I turned it on and I decided to use the viliv update. Without touching anything but agreeing on the updates I ended up with a tablet pc that the touchscreen wont work and I have to use an external mouse. There is no recovery disk in the package or anywhere I looked on the internet. There are some posts that they talk about some hidden recovery partition which I am totally unable to locate if there is one and I am cursing the moment I decided to spend that much money on a damn brick. I've worked before with netbooks and tablets but I've never been so frustrated before. Viliv Sucks and I'll keep saying this cuz I spent a whole day trying to figure out a solution could not find anything and I dont want to spend anymore time with it.
DONT BUY IT. IT IS A PIECE OF CRAP.

Is the less sensitive screen in the S7 a turn-off which could make the S5 more pleasant? If you were to buy one which one would you choose: S5 or S7?

I heard that the S5 was capable of playing 720p movies. I even heard of a guy that was able to get it to play up to 1080i movies.

I was wondering if the X70 could also play 720p movies in formats like avi or mkv

I thought you did an exceptional job of holding the thing and showing all the parts, sides, and angles. Clear, concise, as usual, and any of the other white meat just clues us into your usage and experience, which helps us understand your evaluative statements.

BTW, I definitely appreciate the hi-res photos. Going from your comments (written and spoken), watching the videos, and looking at the photos is a great help.

I do have a complaint, though. Either the OEMs or the DHL guys keep messing up my address and all the fun toys end up in Texas. I don't get it.

No, the case has 2 dents built in to prevent blockage. It hasn't overheated during heavy usage.

Does the Viliv case allow for proper ventilation? Seems like it covers the rear vents completely? You think this could cause overheating issues?

Thank you for the information. Silicon Motion's website doesn't list that particular number, however their SM224x series SSD controllers are for the SATA interface, so at least it's possible there's a SATA drive in there! I'll have to do some more digging...
