My Clean, Minimalistic Office
I love those web sites that share readers’ home office arrangements; they are a great source of ideas for my own home office. I am strongly leaning to the philosophy that less is better when it comes to the home office. Less distractions, less clutter, better focus on the work. Today I decided to take it to heart and am working in the most minimal office I can:

Taken with the Palm Pre
No, I’m not home, but it was the only way to go minimal. Too much junk in the home office.

That rocks.
When I grow up I want to be you… work on cool equipment, in a coffee shop, blog a picture and not get fired for spending time on the internet…
(I am sure that there are days when you would rather switch with me, just ping me and we can switch for a day, no one will know… really)
It’s good to be me.
How did you get the job?
Worked my patooka off for years for free.
Is that a MiFi Internet Cloud cluttering that table top ?
Yes, that huge black thing on the right is indeed the MiFi. I brought my own hotspot with me.
That should be “Fewer distractions” rather than “Less distractions.”
You are correct it should be fewer. You get the unpaid editor position starting now.
Fewer distractions at the coffee shop than at home?! What’s going on in your home!
(posted from a coffee shop… hehe, I love distractions)
Needed the extra shot of espresso?
It’s always good to know that folks are “working naked”, even in a coffee shop. Getting away from your home office can spark new ideas or at least give you an excuse to get dressed. Cheers!
JK– Do you mind the glossy screen on the Macbook? It’s the only thing holding me back from ordering one. It seems like it would distract me while working.
