No iPhone 3.0 For Me Yet- You?
Kevin reminded us that today is the big day that current iPhone owners get updated to 3.0, at least that’s what Apple said when the iPhone 3G S was announced. I just checked for the update for my iPhone 3G and, according to the message, iPhone 3.0 doesn’t exist yet:
Engadget is saying that the update release time is 1 p.m. EDT, so stand by.
Hey, I just got the same alert… I’m pissed quite frankly because I woke up and got out of bed to find out that.. oh my phone is updated.. at 2.2.1 so ya… :/

Everybody else in the world had this update available few weeks ago. Apparently AT&T, as usual, was not ready to support the new software then, therefore it was delayed for today June 17th….Now what?….no update yet?…

Double check your sofware version, mine said “carrier update” but it is still 2.20.

It told me it was there, and to ‘get more info in the iTunes store’.
It then tried to contact the store and crapped out.
Now it says that 2.2.1 is the current version.
I think the phrase ’slammed’ is probably an understatement!

Just installed 3.0 and my iPhone has hung waiting on the iTiunes store which seems to be down…anyone else having this problem ?
It took 2 or 3 time for the iTunes store to finish the process on my phone, Tom. I just ejected and attached it again until it worked… took a few minutes. They’re likely getting slammed right now.
