Rumor: Google Voice Going Live Today

We have been all over Google Voice lately, as it has turned my four smartphones into one great big one. We hear every day from people who are wondering when Google will turn the switch on and provide the service to everyone. Information (rumor, really) has materialized that Google Voice is planned to go live today. A statement was made on a CNET podcast that Google had indicated to the reporter that Google Voice was planned to go live on June 18 and that, dear readers, is today. Keep an eye out if you are one of those who need to get in on the phone handling service. Today may be your day.

Yep, Craig Walker ( Google Voice Mgr, ex CEO of Grand Central) has put the “kebache” (sp?) on that rumour. I have had many an exchange with Craig, a top notch “Regular Guy” who it has been a pleasure to know. IF Craig has said soon, I certainly do believe that as a serious statement, but in the same breath, I certainly cant explain “soon” into a actual time frame.
