  • As a regular reader I must say that this “pay for read” articles from gigaom and these polls are REALLY starting to look bad.

  • x2 on Tal. Not going into the fact that the poll itself has something along the lines of 20 major statistical layout mistakes (I’ve had courses in social scientific methods as part of my bachelor in economics and administration) that make it look extremely amateurish bordering on a laughing matter from a professional point of view, the gigaOM stuff is really taking over the site. Personally I’d be more interested in paying to get a version of the site with everything gigaOM related gone than paying for more of it. Tell that to your potential sponsors, as that poll isn’t usable to anyone who actually knows how to treat statistical data.

  • Ha-ha, I network with coworkers with email. What troglodytes we are!

I can take or leave polls. Don’t understand why that would bother someone. I can read or skip links. Same thing.

You guys don’t seem to sit in meetings with tablets or UMPCs. That’s still huge for me. James, you’re only using your Stamy stylus (is that what it is?) to poke at tiny icons. Even the word “tablet” now means touch screen, but doesn’t imply inking. My Samsung Q1 is on its last legs, and the same old concerns apply to replacing it and my old Toshiba Tablet. Fan noise, response when inking, battery life, screen viewing. Having a cloud OneNote will be excellent with 2010. What are you inking with?
