Double the Fun With Two Screens — Kohjinsha Netbook Prototype

We’ve seen notebook prototypes with two screens before, but never in a form that looked like they could actually become a real product. That’s not the case with a prototype that Kohjinisha showed off recently in Japan. This netbook looks like it’s ready for market, although the company won’t admit it will ever offer it. It’s sporting an AMD Athlon processor, 160 GB HDD, 4 GB of RAM and those two 10.1-inch screens. One of the screens stores behind the other when only one screen is needed. It is definitely nicely done.

  • This machine will be great for the business traveler that actually does work when not in the office.

  • Not just the traveller. I work remotely 4 days a week and what I miss most about the office is dual screens. True I could do this at home but if I don’t have to be tied to my office why would I want to be tied to a desk at my home. This implementation is much nicer than the Thinkpad W700 although I prefer the horsepower and screen size of the W700 over the Kohjinisha.
