U.S. Version of the HTC HD2 Gets Official
We’ve already heard that the top-tier Windows phone, the HTC HD2, would be coming to the U.S. in early 2010, and having received word from HTC, it is now official. The HD2 is soon to be available in Europe and Asia. HTC cannot confirm at this time pricing or which carrier in the U.S. will carry the HD2.
The HD2 is the thin smartphone with the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor running that gorgeous 4.3-inch screen that houses the first WinMo capacitive digitizer. The HD2 is easily looking like the WinMo phone to have, and it will be very interesting to see which U.S. carrier picks it up.

Yes, that’s what I thought until I got myself a Pre and a Hero. And I asked myself, why have I been using Windows Mobile all these years. (I don’t use iPhone because of the Apple fanboy attitude.)
I wish it comes with Android. But I could wait for the SE X10. That would be pretty sweet too.
Assuming carriers here don’t butcher the device like they did with the TP2 – why TMO had to get rid of the 3.5mm jack is insane.
I’m really hoping the release of this phone will push current prices down. I’m also curious to see what price carriers will be asking for this uber handset.
I also want to see if it will be available retail. I have yet to find a TP2 in any Verizon or Sprint brick-and-mortar store, it seems the only way I can get my hands on one is if I order online – very bad marketing for such a nice device.
